Van keys, coral LOOP
What it's really protecting
Dawn patrol.
The tide turns on schedule whether the keys turn up or not. Ring them from your phone and you're in the water while the wind is still asleep.
LOOP · up to 125 dB · IP67
Chipolo × Wavelength · Adventure travel
A proposal from Wavelength for Chipolo. On an adventure, the thing worth protecting is the time. The swell won't wait while you look for the van keys.
See the campaign ideas
Concept visual In 2013 seven friends in Trbovlje, a mining town in Slovenia, met every Saturday for pizza, beers and ideas. Every week they waited an hour for the seventh, who could never find his keys. They put the app they were meant to be building on hold and built the fix instead.
Thirteen years on, Chipolo is still independent, still makes its trackers in Europe, and has sold almost 4 million of them. Against the tracker everyone compares it to, it works on iPhone and Android, and it is louder.
Most tracker advertising sells the fear of the lost bag. Chipolo's homepage already says something better: “You’ve got better things to do.”
Protect what's valuable means
your TIME not your possessions
The tracker is the hook. The time it hands back is the story.
Every tracker protects possessions. On an adventure the possession is rarely the real loss. The loss is the hour at the van, or the summit abandoned at the turnaround time because the morning went on a search.
Chipolo already says it on its own homepage: you've got better things to do. On a mountain or a wave, those better things have a closing time.
Five Chipolos on one van floor. The things can be replaced. The moments can't.

Climbing rope, blue POP
What it's really protecting
On a big day the turnaround time is set before you leave the hut. Every minute spent hunting for the rope at the col comes off the top.
POP · up to 120 dB · battery 12+ months
Backpack, yellow POP
What it's really protecting
A pack left at the café on the way up costs the last hour of light on the way down. A left-behind alert catches it before you've left the car park.
POP · left-behind alerts · replaceable battery
Travel wallet, black CARD
What it's really protecting
The wallet and the passport are somewhere between security and the gate. CARD is thin enough to live in the wallet and loud enough to find it.
CARD · 2.5 mm · up to 110 dB
Board bag, mint LOOP
What it's really protecting
Board bags go missing on the way to the best swells. Create a tracking link in the app, send it to the airline and spend the trip in the water, not at the baggage desk.

All three fit inside the budget together. Each one also works on its own.
Concept visual Idea 1 · Hero series · Proposed
Three creators, each racing a window, with the clock on screen.
A surfer with a swell that's gone by lunch. A mountaineer with a weather window that shuts at noon. A hiker racing the light to a hut. Each film runs against a visible clock, and Chipolo appears once: at the moment that would have eaten the window, found in seconds.
Concept visual Idea 2 · Comedy series · Proposed
Chipolo's own origin story, moved to the car park.
Chipolo was invented for the friend who was always late, and every surf crew and climbing pair still has one. Four adventure creators each shoot a short sketch: the crew in wetsuits on the wall, the swell building, one pair of legs sticking out of the van. Each ends with the friend being handed a Chipolo.
Followers tag their own late friend to win a set from Chipolo, which grows The Search Party.
Concept visual Idea 3 · Proof series · Proposed
Loud enough for a waterfall? We find out on camera.
Short, satisfying proof clips in the loudest, wettest places an adventure goes: beside a waterfall, on a ridge in a gale, at a baggage carousel. A creator hides a LOOP, rings it and finds it. Every ring is tested off camera before we roll.
IP67 is rated for half an hour in a metre of still fresh water. So the LOOP gets a waterfall's spray and a rain-soaked ridge, never the sea and never a dive.
Wavelength is a social-first media company: a network of brand-led pages, a creator roster and the team that makes campaigns for both. Its adventure travel pages already reach the people Chipolo wants, so the films land on day one.

A proposed split, subject to contract. Chipolo supplies the trackers for the creators and the giveaway.
